Unholy Kingdom by Malise Ruthven (.ePUB)
📮 Unholy Kingdom by Malise Ruthven (.ePUB) Religion, oil, and war bent to the House of Saud’s will to dominate Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East In recent years the ruling family in Saudi Arabia, the House of Saud, has promoted the oil-rich kingdom as an open, liberalizing nation that has invested in culture, tourism, and social innovation to become a beacon for the region. International political manoeuvring, sports sponsorship, and the Vision 2030 programme with its vast architectural planning declare a bold future. But the murder in October 2018 of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul reveals a darker reality: one of intensifying political and religious repression. This is within the tumultuous context of the war in Yemen, sectarian rivalry with Iran, the crisis in Gaza, and volatile relations with the United States. Malise Ruthven, a leading commentator on Islamic affairs, reconstructs the nation’s history. He shows how the royal house co-opted Wahhabism to consolidate its power and enforce authoritarianism in collusion with Western businesses and governments. Unholy Kingdom looks to the nation’s future in the hands of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, who touts the country’s liberalisation while aggressively imposing his will upon the region. This essential book traces the shifting fault lines in the Middle East to determine Saudi Arabia’s place in our volatile times. ♻️ Book's Info: Author Malise Ruthven Size 1.8MB Category Non-Fiction > History File Type ePUB 📥 Download Links: https://uploda.sh/I135P4O3XgH1 https://devuploads.com/x0qxudcg7i4q

Woman Hating by Andrea Dworkin (.ePUB)
📮 Woman Hating by Andrea Dworkin (.ePUB) Reissued with a bold, modern package, Andrea Dworkin’s debut book Woman Hating argues that a deep-rooted hatred of women in history, art, politics, and beyond has reigned―and influenced and formed culture―for centuries. A classic work in the canon of radical feminist thinking, Andrea Dworkin’s 1974 debut Woman Hating is a stunning exploration of how women, and the idea of women, have been treated through the centuries. Here by Lydia Sohn (.ePUB)
📮 Here by Lydia Sohn (.ePUB) A contemplative guide to finding satisfaction right where you are, by understanding what it is within us that leads to dissatisfaction and creating long-lasting fulfillment—inspired by the ancient Christian tradition of Benedictine stability. Lydia Sohn was a serial burn-it-down-and-make-a-fresh-start girl until, when in her late twenties, she encountered the Rule of St. Benedict with its vow of stability, and her world was transformed. Sohn took a pause to consider what she wanted out of life—identity, purpose, community—and had a lightbulb moment: Everything she needed to live the life she desired was already within her reach. Here pushes back against our age of constant reinvention and the cultural message that we should do whatever it takes to get wherever we want to go. Instead, Sohn’s message is the opposite: stay. Stay and cultivate the immense potential and beauty that currently lies dormant within your circumstances. Sohn understands the allure of nomadism. A nomadic life would protect us from the stress of relational conflicts that inevitably arise when we’re caught in the intricate web of commitments. But the restlessness, FOMO, and disappointment we’re trying to escape always come along for the journey. That’s because they’re not the result of our circumstances; they reside within us. Braiding personal narrative and spiritual reflection,Here inspires readers to both embrace and transform their circumstances through commitment and stability—in order that they might find true contentment right where they are. ♻️ Book's Info: Author Lydia Sohn Size 1.3MB Category Non-Fiction > Health, Fitness & Self-help File Type ePUB 📥 Download Links: https://uploda.sh/iTKrIX4anVMv https://devuploads.com/sx1h19vp6gxt

Scout Camp by James Renner (.ePUB)
📮 Scout Camp by James Renner (.ePUB) In this timely and deeply personal true crime memoir, acclaimed journalist, author, creator of the True Crime This Week podcast, and former Boy Scout James Renner, explores the dark side of an American institution, its pervasive culture of sexual abuse, and the traumatic—even deadly—repercussions of its long-buried secrets. In the summer of 1995, at the largest Boy Scout camp in Ohio, a night of sexual violence ended with one counselor dead and another hospitalized. The death was ruled “accidental.” It wouldn’t be the last death associated with Seven Ranges Reservation. James Renner, too, was a counselor at Seven Ranges that year. He was always sure there must be more to the story of Mike Klingler’s death, because Renner also knew firsthand that the 900-acre camp was not the safe getaway it was portrayed to be. On Friday nights the boys were ushered into the woods for a frightening ceremony in which they learned the rules for becoming good young men—and, above all, that keeping secrets was a Scout’s duty. No matter how dark the secrets were. Determined to face his demons, Renner embarks on a journey back to that tumultuous summer and exposes a clandestine society that left indelible scars on the Scouts and the staff who were there. For Renner, it meant opening up about his twisted upbringing, his issues with trust and sexuality, and a lifetime of self-medication. The result is a deeply personal, no-holds-barred, and vitally important true crime memoir. ♻️ Book's Info: Author James Renner Size 1.5MB Category Non-Fiction > Biographies & Memoirs File Type ePUB 📥 Download Links: https://uploda.sh/fyDbElfq8PpD https://devuploads.com/wq28k8jt1qlu

Shipping Lords and Coolie Stokers by Ravi Ahuja (.ePUB)
📮 Shipping Lords and Coolie Stokers by Ravi Ahuja (.ePUB) A tragic shipping accident opens a window on racialized labour management in an age of imperialism. When eighty-seven passengers and crew died in the shipwreck of the Royal Mail ship Egypt in 1922, the accident gave rise to a racist international press campaign against the employment of Indian seafarers, such as those who made up most of the ship’s crew. This was not unusual at a time when a fifth of the British mercantile marine’s workforce was recruited from the subcontinent. Ravi Ahuja explains the business logic behind a labour regime steeped in racist irrationalism and examines the scope for solidarity among a divided workforce in an age of imperialism – an issue that is no less relevant in our own time. ♻️ Book's Info: Author Ravi Ahuja Size 3MB Category Non-Fiction > History File Type ePUB 📥 Download Links: https://uploda.sh/UEXn7x5v26eU https://devuploads.com/9kc4m0hke3o6

Jagdpanzer by Thomas Anderson (.PDF)
📮 Jagdpanzer by Thomas Anderson (.PDF) This highly illustrated title details the history of the Jagdpanzer, the self-propelled German tank destroyers introduced in the second half of World War II. Throughout World War II all sides grappled with how to deal with the threat of enemy armour. The German Army had adopted the 3.7cm anti-tank gun in the inter-war years. However, it was already apparent that the towed weapons lacked firepower and more powerful weapons were introduced in 1942 and 1943. By 1942, hard-pressed Panzerjäger (anti-tank) units equipped with towed anti-tank weapons fighting on the Eastern Front increasingly sought assistance from StuG-equipped assault artillery units. By late 1943 the StuG was being issued to new tank destroyer units and at the same time a dedicated Jagdpanzer (hunting tank) was ordered, based on the chassis and running gear of the PzKpfw IV. This highly illustrated study by German armour expert Thomas Anderson uses archival material and after-action reports to describe the development of the Jagdpanzer, and the many variants built on other German tank chassis. It also covers in detail how Jagdpanzer units were organized as well as their operational experience on the battlefield. ♻️ Book's Info: Author Thomas Anderson Size 174MB Category Non-Fiction > History File Type PDF 📥 Download Links: https://uploda.sh/SSgYhi5OrTUx https://devuploads.com/ql265l7zw28z

📮 Royal Navy Home Fleet 1939-1941 by Angus Konstam (.PDF) Packed with illustrations, this is a new history and analysis of how the Royal Navy's most important fleet operated and fought the German Navy in the crucial first years of World War II. Throughout its history, the Royal Navy's most powerful fleet has been the one guarding home waters. In this book, naval historian Angus Konstam explores the fighting power, the roles, and the battles of the Home Fleet, in the crucial first years of World War II when it was Britain's most powerful fighting force, anchored in the northern bastion of Scapa Flow. Grossdeutschland Division in World War II by James F. Slaughter (.PDF)
📮 Grossdeutschland Division in World War II by James F. Slaughter (.PDF) Investigates the history and evolving appearance of the 'Grossdeutschland' Division, the German Army's premier combat unit during World War II. Featuring eight pages of original artwork and carefully chosen photographs depicting personalities, uniforms, insignia and personal equipment, this is the absorbing story of the German Army's elite 'fire brigade' during 1939–45. The unit began its life as an elite guard detachment; expanded to regimental size in 1939, it saw action in France in 1940 and Yugoslavia in 1941 before participating in the Axis invasion of the Soviet Union. Reinforced to divisional status, 'Grossdeutschland' fought on the Eastern Front in 1942–44, notably at Rzhev in late 1942 and Kharkov in early 1943. Refitted and redesignated a Panzergrenadier-Division, 'Grossdeutschland' played a key role in the battle of Kursk in July 1943, before acting as the Wehrmacht's 'fire brigade' in 1943–44. In late 1944, 'Grossdeutschland' was expanded to Panzerkorps status, with Panzergrenadier-Division 'Brandenburg' also taking the field. Further units joined the order of battle, the Führerbegleit-Brigade fighting in the Ardennes in 1944–45 before also being redesignated a division. All of these campaigns are covered in this book, which charts the evolving appearance of this elite formation over nearly six years of brutal warfare. ♻️ Book's Info: Author James F. P-38 Lightning vs Bf 109 by Edward M. Young (.PDF)
📮 P-38 Lightning vs Bf 109 by Edward M. Young (.PDF) An exciting account of the aerial battles fought by the USAAF's P38 Lightnings and the Jagdflieger's Bf 109Gs for dominance over North Africa and the Mediterranean. USAAF fighter pilots experienced a baptism of fire when flying the technically advanced but fragile P-38 Lightning over North Africa in the wake of 1942's Operation Torch. Their opponents were battle-hardened jagdflieger of the Jadgwaffe, flying the tried and tested Bf 109 in its very lastest Gustav iteration. Responsible primarily for escorting USAAF bombers attacking Afrika Korps installations in Tunisia, the P-38 units in North Africa had to develop effective tactics to defend the bombers against Luftwaffe fighter attacks. For several months the Lightning squadrons had to also cope with shortages of aircraft and spare parts, steady losses and a lack of replacement pilots. To survive, American aviators had to learn quickly. While it is difficult to definitively attribute victories in air combat, in the air battles over Tunisia and later over Sicily and Italy, the claims made by Lightning pilots were comparable to Luftwaffe claims for P-38s destroyed. Edward M. Young turns his attention to the bitterly fought air war in North Africa and the Mediterranean in 1942–43. Using original archival sources, official records and first-hand accounts from both USAAF and Luftwaffe veterans, as well as newly commissioned artwork and 50 carefully selected photographs from official and personal archives, this book sees two of the most iconic piston-engined fighters of their era pitted head-to-head for control of the skies in a key theatre of World War II. ♻️ Book's Info: Author Edward M. F4F Wildcat: South Pacific 1942-1943 by Edward M. Young (.PDF)
📮 F4F Wildcat: South Pacific 1942-1943 by Edward M. Young (.PDF) This book examines the role of the Grumman F4F Wildcat, the US Navy's standard carrier fighter at the start of the Pacific War, and its clashes against the Imperial Japanese Naval Air Force's Mitsubishi A6M Zero-sen. The US Navy went to war in December 1941 with the tubby Wildcat, the first of Grumman's famed 'cats', as its principal carrier fighter. Ruggedly built and well armed, the F4F's performance was inferior to the Japanese Zero-sen, yet in the carrier battles of 1942 between the US Navy and the IJN the Wildcat pilots more than held their own against some of the finest naval aviators in the world. Many of the Wildcat pilots that saw action in the South Pacific comprised what respected naval historian John Lundstrom has called the 'First Team' – the small group of highly trained prewar pilots who manned the bulk of the US Navy's carrier fighter squadrons. Illustrated with specially commissioned artwork, including armament views and ribbon diagrams, the book examines the carrier battles that took place in August and October in the South Pacific around the first American offensive of the war – the amphibious assault on the island of Guadalcanal, and the actions of the Wildcat in combat with IJN carrier aircraft. The key combat actions are described and accompanied with rare and original photographs and diagrams, as are the training and tactics that contributed to the Wildcat's success. ♻️ Book's Info: Author Edward M. Japanese Infantryman vs US Marine Rifleman by Gregg Adams (.PDF)
📮 Japanese Infantryman vs US Marine Rifleman by Gregg Adams (.PDF) Featuring evocative artwork plates and carefully selected photographs, this book assesses the US Marines and Japanese troops who contested the islands of Tarawa, Roi-Namur, and Eniwetok during 1943–44. On November 20, 1943, amphibious vehicles carrying Marines of the 2d Marine Division reached the shores of Betio Island in the Tarawa Atoll, defended by a determined Japanese garrison that would fight to the last man. This began a test by combat of over two decades of US studies, analyses, and planning for capturing and defending naval bases in Micronesia. The Tarawa assault was followed in February 1944 by the rapid capture of the Kwajalein and Eniwetok atolls in the Marshall Islands. In these battles US Marines fought a mix of Imperial Japanese Navy and Imperial Japanese Army ground units. All but a handful of the defenders, whether they were organized ground combat troops or infantry improvised from aviators and service troops, were determined to die for the Emperor while killing as many of the enemy as possible. In this study, Gregg Adams shows how the US Marine Corps and US Navy drew upon these pivotal actions to improve their tactics, organization, and equipment for the next round of amphibious operations. He also explains how their Japanese opponents – realizing that isolated island garrisons were doomed to destruction or isolation if the Imperial Japanese Navy could not defeat the US Navy at sea – moved from seeking to repel an invasion to one inflicting maximum American casualties through prolonged defensive fighting. ♻️ Book's Info: Author Gregg Adams Size 15MB Category Non-Fiction > History File Type PDF 📥 Download Links: https://uploda.sh/35SHmGs5oo0b https://devuploads.com/zcvsp1iw5qc0

Sunderland vs U-Boat: Bay of Biscay 1943-1944 by Mark Lardas (.PDF)
📮 Sunderland vs U-Boat: Bay of Biscay 1943-1944 by Mark Lardas (.PDF) An illustrated examination of the role played by the Sunderland as an antisubmarine aircraft during the Battle of the Atlantic, focusing on the key battles of the Biscay campaign in 1943–44. The Sunderland is an iconic British aircraft of World War II, and the only RAF Coastal Command type to perform frontline service throughout the conflict. Its prime target – the German U-boat – was a deadly adversary to Allied warships and other oceangoing vessels, but proved vulnerable to detection and air attacks from the radar-equipped Sunderland. This book examines the respective advantages and drawbacks of these two maritime predators by providing a vivid analysis of their historic engagement during the Biscay campaign in 1943–44. Drawing upon first-hand accounts of this famous duel, Mark Lardas tells the story of how highly skilled Sunderland crews took the fight to an often elusive enemy and helped RAF Coastal Command defeat the U-boat threat. Maps, tactical diagrams, photographs and specially commissioned artwork bring the action to life as the Sunderland's losses – and eventual victory – in the Bay of Biscay play out in fascinating, insightful detail. ♻️ Book's Info: Author Mark Lardas Size 12MB Category Non-Fiction > History File Type PDF 📥 Download Links: https://uploda.sh/Qv2LpBXONbFW https://devuploads.com/em1vp9k974e2

Wireless Rechargeable Sensor Networks for IoT by Chi Lin (.ePUB)+
📮 Wireless Rechargeable Sensor Networks for IoT by Chi Lin (.ePUB)+ In traditional Internet of Things (IoT) systems, sensor nodes are usually powered by batteries, and their limited battery power leads to limited system lifetimes and prevents the large-scale promotion of IoT; this is commonly referred to as the energy bottleneck. The subsequent emergence of Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) technology enables IoT nodes to replenish their energy through wireless charging, giving rise to the novel network paradigm of Wireless Rechargeable Sensor Networks (WRSNs). This has made it possible to solve the IoT energy bottleneck and extend IoT system lifetimes. This book elaborates on the theory and technical paradigms of WRSNs. The topics discussed include the energy efficiency, schedulability and reliability of WRSNs, as well as their potential intersections with other fields. Specifically, this book 1) proposes the theory of optimal scheduling of spatio-temporal correlation power supply for large-scale WRSNs; 2) analyses in depth the shortcomings and hidden risks of existing WRSN hardware and protocols, and proposes the concept of charging attack and the theory of trusted scheduling; and 3) introduces a radio electromagnetic signal propagation model into the design of charging deployment methods in complex environments, revealing a new dimension of charging efficiency optimization. The methods described here will lay the theoretical foundation for extending WRSN lifetimes and provide a new theoretical model for WRSN security and reliability, accelerating the development of these networks from multiple perspectives. ♻️ Book's Info: Author Chi Lin Size 44.5MB Category Non-Fiction > Tech & Devices File Type ePUB 📥 Download Links: https://uploda.sh/fJ6O5dPjBlg7 https://devuploads.com/t93r0rzelknx

Putin Takes Crimea 2014 by Mark Galeotti (.PDF)
📮 Putin Takes Crimea 2014 by Mark Galeotti (.PDF) An authoritative analysis of how Putin's Russia conquered the Crimea in 2014 using 'grey zone' warfare techniques, blending operations by anonymous special forces with cyber, sabotage, and propaganda. Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014 was almost bloodless – fought as much through propaganda, cyberattacks and subversion as by force of arms – but it is crucial for our understanding of both modern warfare and recent Russian history. Ironically, this slick triumph eventually led to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the largest and costliest conventional war in Europe since 1945. This is a fascinating account of the Crimea conquest from a supremely qualified expert on modern Russian forces. Illustrated throughout, it explores how Russia developed its new model of 'hybrid' or 'grey zone' warfare, and planned and deployed it against Crimea, from the choreographed appearance of 'spontaneous' protesters through to the deployment of unbadged Russian elite forces. In this book Mark Galeotti explores the lessons that Russia, Ukraine, and the West took from it – correctly and mistakenly – and how this apparently textbook operation sowed the seeds that would erupt so catastrophically in 2022. ♻️ Book's Info: Author Mark Galeotti Size 17MB Category Non-Fiction > History File Type PDF 📥 Download Links: https://uploda.sh/QpRPzWjJI1Mj https://devuploads.com/ajfh9j5wt5to
