1. Tom Savage

1. Tom Savage - On a frontier planet, land is cheap. So is your life. Tom Savage is intent on homesteading, and Phaethon is the newest planet open for colonization. Here, technology is lacking in many places. And for 200 credits, anyone can claim one square kilometer of prime farmland. But Tom has a secret or two. He is not interested in farming crops, at least not at first. Tom wants to harvest pieces of Phaethon’s sun. To do so will mean first reaching his stake out near the desert, surviving human predators along the way, bringing fugitives to justice, and dealing with the resident sand dragon population. All in a day’s work for your local star farmer…

2. Particle Two

2. Particle Two - Harvesting chunks of the sun can be rewarding . . . if you can stay alive. Tom Savage and Gwen Wilder are running experiments never before seen in the galaxy, using a tiny piece of Phaethon’s sun. But the Ever Riders are on their trail, and still mad about losing out on Mal Dalmont’s bounty. James Ever is a spiteful, vengeful man. But Tom has several aces up his sleeve, including a surplus space Marine battle bot and a local AI. No one on Phaethon has ever dealt with someone as resourceful as Tom. No one has ever had quite this many resources to defend their homestead . . .

3. Farm Hand

3. Farm Hand - Sometimes a farmer can turn a profit by diversifying his crops . . . Tom Savage and Gwen Wilder have a farm hand now, Silas Vick. And Silas has some ideas of new things they can grow out here. That might be good, since a lot of stuff got destroyed recently, meaning they'll have to wait on more equipment from Lute before continuing experiments. Tom's got other responsibilities, too, with a list that seems to be growing along with the farm. At least Lisa’s capabilities are expanding, with greater communications and teleportation capabilities. Meanwhile, Wink and Jinxie have more smuggling routes to run. And they’ve still got another battle tank to unload, if they can find a willing buyer . . .

4. Pulsar's Peril

4. Pulsar's Peril - A farmer always needs to find a way to get his produce to market... Tom Savage’s farm is coming along nicely. Trees are producing sap. The garden’s doing well. The chickens are surviving. Even the horses are thriving. No star containment units have blown up recently. But the planet of Phaethon has problems galore. The major governmental systems have instituted an embargo, preventing all but humanitarian supplies from going there. And nothing has shown up yet. League City, the capital, is in chaos. Gangs roam the street. One woman, Haley Stonecipher, hopes to make a difference with Tom’s help and the assistance of his AI. The ship at the center of it all, Pulsar, is gone, heading back to Lute. But that is only the beginning of troubles for Captain Wink McKelway, his pilot and their sole passenger . . .

5. Night Shadow

5. Night Shadow - A farmer needs friends in the city who have his back . . . Haley Stonecipher sells farm goods for Tom Savage during the day, and fights crime by night in League City. She strikes from the cover of darkness, leaving death and fear in her wake through the criminal underworld. Ashley Thallus is a reporter, and an agent for Gwen’s mother. Sent to Phaethon to keep an eye on things, he gets caught up creating Haley’s media persona, which quickly goes viral. Wink McKelway and Jinxie Malone find themselves under contract with the Ultima Mule Company, and a new robot pilot with some ideas of his own. The X’s and O’s are out for revenge, though, and still intent on grabbing their ship. Meanwhile, Tom has successfully brought his farmhand’s syrup to market and is now refocusing on harvesting more star chunks for an expected energy crisis soon to hit Phaethon. If only outside influences would leave him alone, maybe he could get more done around this place . . .

6. Farmer's Wife

6. Farmer's Wife - Every farmer needs a good wife. Hay production is up and it’s selling well across the area. Bessie, Gwen’s mare, is pregnant and Tom will soon have the first colt added to his stable of horses. Most important of all, Tom and Gwen have finally decided to tie the knot, especially after a surprise visit from home. All is looking up for their farm. But trouble is brewing in the guise of Reynard Gliph, who is extending his demesne well beyond League City, even threatening Tom’s home turf.

7. Bad Allegory

7. Bad Allegory - Sometimes town folk can be mean to farmers . . . Reynard Gliph has branched out from League City to Phaethon’s hinterlands, intent on taking over Little York. This just happens to be the closest town to Tom Savage’s star farm. Gliph’s early efforts result in mixed success. Fortunately for him, the Dalmont brothers are nearby and willing to lend a helping hand. Together, they change Little York’s name to Allegory and give it a new purpose beyond helping the local homesteaders. Tom and Gwen are happily married now, and their visitors headed home following the ceremony. But having someone committed so strongly to the cause of anarchy nearby is sure to cause problems . . .
