4. Axis Victorious

4. Axis Victorious - The year is 1941, and the Axis is victorious everywhere. The Axis powers: Germany, Italy, and the Soviet Union The Allied powers: British Empire, United States of America, Japan Gibraltar is about to fall. Once it does, the Axis forces will spill over to Morocco. The Wehrmacht is about to land in Tripoli, and the Anglo-Americans are pouring reinforcement into Western North Africa. A titanic battle is about to erupt. The outcome of the battle will decide if the Axis can reign supreme on land in the Western Hemisphere. On the other side of the Mediterranean Sea, Turkey will soon be invaded by the German and Russian forces, while the Red Army is poised to advance into Iran. Rommel continues his offensive into Cyrenaica and approaches the Egyptian border. The battle for the Suez Canal will decide the fate of Africa as much as the Battle for French North Africa. From Soviet-occupied Persia will erupt a battle for yet another threatened British territory. The jewel of the Empire, India, will soon be invaded by Stalin’s minions. If the Axis can win there, the battle for Eurasia will draw to a close. A stalemate has developed in the Far East between the Red Army and the Imperial forces, but Japan is living on borrowed time. The Red Army is a lot stronger and has a lot better forces on land. The non-stop flow of fresh troops and tanks will surely overwhelm the imperial forces. The fight for Manchuria and the Maritimes Provinces will soon be decided unless something significant happens. And yet, the outcome of the war is undecided. The Axis can win all it wants on land in Eurasia; the Allied nations of Japan, the UK, and the USA control the sea, and they are quite safe on their islands and protected by their powerful fleets. The United Kingdom stands defiant and resist the German forces. America, the arsenal of democracy, is finally in the conflict, supplying weapons, resources, and support to Japan and the British. The Axis is victorious, but it has not yet won the war.

5. Axis Overwhelming

5. Axis Overwhelming - The year is 1941, and the Axis is overwhelming. The Axis powers: Germany, Italy, and the Soviet Union The Allied powers: British Empire, United States of America, Japan The world is reeling under war. Gibraltar has fallen, and the conflict in the Iberian Peninsula has spilled to Portugal. After a few weeks of fighting, American General Patton has retired to the old Torres Veras Napoleonic defensive line. There he intends to fight the enemy to a standstill. In French North Africa, the Axis is advancing on Morocco after landing in Tunisia. Once Algeria is conquered, a battle of titanic proportions is looming at a small town in the Atlas Mountains. On the other side of the Mediterranean Sea, Egypt is completely encircled by forces coming from the West (Rommel’s Afrika Korps) and the East (German and Soviet Middle East Armies). Furthermore, the powerful Anglo-Japanese Fleet, victorious at Taranto and a major factor in the Allies’ continued resistance in the Mediterranean Sea, was evacuated into the Red Sea for fear of getting stuck if the Suez falls. The battle for the Canal will decide the fate of Africa. In British India, the fight is desperate as the Red Army is attacking from Balochistan and Afghanistan with five times the numbers the Allies can field. The Indian-British Army is making its stand at the famed Khyber Pass. In Asia, the Germans and the Soviets have pushed the beleaguered Japanese to Chosen (North Korea) on the Yalu-Tumen River Line and Vladivostok fortress. The two sieges will decide if the Japanese can keep a hold in mainland Asia. The Axis is victorious and on the offensive everywhere, and yet, cracks are starting to appear on the Soviet side of things. Resources are scarce, and the Russian economy is not strong enough to support the major campaigns all over the map. The same can be said with the Third Reich. After all, both countries do not have the infinite resources of the United States of America and the sea-going navies of the Allies. Thus, the Allies have no intention to fold and die. Their soldiers and their leaders are hanging on to dear life, and victory is in the balance. The Axis is overwhelming, but it has not yet won the war.

7. Axis Resurging

7. Axis Resurging - World War Two continues to rage across the globe. In Asia, the Soviets are victoriously advancing through the Korean Peninsula after smashing through the Chosen Defensive Line. Russian General Zhukov prepares for the final offensive while General Douglas MacArthur and General Yamashita plan for an offensive that will disrupt the Red Army from their newly-built Heijo-Kanko defensive line. In Algeria and the Atlas Mountains, the Germans have backed down and retreated to their bases, while a new commander has been named (Eric von Manstein) following the sacking of General von Arnim. The Germans aren't done trying to expel the Allies out of Morocco. In Egypt, attacked from both sides, the Allies are, for now, still in control, following two resounding victories at El Alamein and on the Suez Canal. The Fuhrer's patience in von Kleist is at an end and Guderian had been recalled to the Sinai to smash the stubborn Anglo-Japanese once and for all. In the Atlantic, the ominous shadows of the Bismarck and its two consorts, the battlecruisers Sharnhorst and Gneisenau, weight heavy with the Allies. The three powerful warships are a true menace to the Allied convoys, as they can again break out of Brest at any time Over it all, the struggle between the Axis and the Allies continues to increase in intensity as leaders from both sides put more and more troops into the battle.

8. Axis Siege

8. Axis Siege - October 1941, the World is at war. Following the major Axis offensive in French North Africa, General Erich von Manstein is close to victory, but American general George Patton leads a counteroffensive to try and save the day. Fighting continues to rage across the Atlas Mountains and in the Ceuta-Tangier Axis. In the Eastern Mediterranean, things are settling down into a stalemate as the Allies have retreated into the Sudan, and General Guderian is not pursuing them. The twin defeats in El Alamein and the Suez Canal have sealed the fate of the Allies in the theater. Now, there lies an uncertain chain of events, as the Germano-Soviets need to decide if they want to attack through the center of Africa. In the Far East, the defense of the Japanese Home Islands begins, with the Axis forces poised to try a landing from Sakhalin to Hokkaido, only twenty-four miles away. In the same vein, the battle for the Korean Peninsula enters into a new phase that looks much like an older one. The Red Army has been pushed back to its starting Yalu-Tumen Line, but Zhukov has no intention of letting things be. His humongous numerical superiority will again challenge the Allied general duo of Yamashita-MacArthur as he plans yet another offensive to finish off the Allies. Not content with what they have conquered so far, the Axis forces are now looking for new territories to grab. The Germano-Soviets are planning an attack on Scandinavia. For Stalin, the idea is to reclaim Finland, once a part of the Russian Empire. For Hitler, the objective is to claim Norway and Denmark, essential positions from which he could ultimately attack and conquer the British Islands. And in between it all are the men fighting the battles, while trying to survive. 21st German Infantry Division Private Marco Peters is fighting in the Atlas Mountains, British Ace Giles Hayes is dueling with German ace Gunther Rall, Anatoli Batasov, a poor infantryman trying to survive on Paektu Mountain, or else German U-boat U-511 attacking Japanese shipping in the Pacific from its secret base in the Caroline Islands. The fight is far from over; the Allies are truly reeling back under the Axis’ relentless assaults. Will they rise to the challenge or be swamped by the Germano-Soviet hordes?
