The book covers the syllabus prescribed for B.E. (E & C, Telecom, Biomedical, Instrumentation Technology and Medical Electronics). Care is taken to develop the subject logically so that the book could also be used by B.Sc. and diploma students. Neatly drawn diagrams, stepwise illustrations, and graded numerical examples, are included in every chapter to support the contents. Exercises and problems with answers are included at the end of each chapter. The contents are divided into eight chapters. Chapters 1 and 2 cover the fundamentals, the working, and design of direct and capacitor coupled Opamp amplifiers. Inverting, non-inverting and differential amplifiers concepts are explained clearly. Chapter 3 deals with the frequency response and compensation required to improve the performance of Opamp circuits. Chapters 4 and 5 are devoted for applications such as voltage and current sources, instrumentation amplifiers and precision rectifiers, limiting and clamping circuits. The working and design of sample and hold circuit using Opamps is included. Log and antilog amplifiers, their relevant derivations are dealt with in detail. Chapter 6 covers the non-linear circuit applications. Chapters 7 and 8 deal with regulated power supply ciruits and ICs such as 78XX series, LM723, 555 Timer are covered. A/D and D/A circuits and PLL principles are included.
