I'm a huge fan of fantasy and sci-fi of all genres, and I've spent more time with my nose buried in a book than I can even fathom. My first forays into the progression fantasy genre came from a friend recommending Coiling Dragon, a Chinese Xianxia novel that had, at the time, not even been fully translated yet.

#5 - Finding new horizons in hostile lands. Jia and Eui, as the representatives of the tentative new alliance between Yamato and Goryeo must travel to the hostile Qin Empire to make their case for a unified front against the otherworldly invaders—and maybe save their best friend from an arranged marriage in the process. But getting there is going to be a bigger challenge than they ever expected. Along the way they'll meet new friends and old enemies, and learn to challenge their assumptions about other people—and themselves.

#6 - Some ancient secrets are better left buried. After reuniting with their friends in Qin, Jia and Eui are welcomed to the Spiritual Flowing Purewater Sect as honored guests, but their peaceful reprieve is not to last. Yan Yue’s upcoming wedding has drawn the attention of Qin’s ruling class, who are using the gathering as a pretense to hold a summit to determine the future of the empire. Yoshika and their allies will have to navigate Qin’s treacherous political quagmire as they attempt to gain support for their alliance, face an army of demons to retake the fallen Grand Academy, and finally seek out the legendary tomb of the Bloody Sovereign.

#7 - To forge a better future, they must confront their past. In the aftermath of the expeditions against the Bloody Sovereign's Tomb and the demonic enclave, Yoshika begins to rebuild the academy as a new power, independent from the other nations. Amidst their efforts, Kaede must investigate the unrest in her homeland of Yamato, as well as her new role as an aspect of Yoshika. Meanwhile, Eui returns to Goryeo to confront her own past as a former bandit, and establish a treaty between her former and current homes.
